  The floor plan of the house is the same as when the house was built around 1800.  The original floor is underneath the present floor, which was added in the 1930's.  Both floors are made of Idaho white pine.  The fanlight transom over the door is original as is the molding on the stair steps.
The huge map in the hall is a reproduction of the original made 50 years before Christopher Columbus sailed to the Americas.  It is amazing to see how much of the Orient was known at the time.
