Steve Mizerak Championships @ The Hard Rock Live

Talk about a great tournament...the
Seminole Pro Tour put on a great event over the weekend of Nov
30-Dec 2nd! It was the Steve Mizerak Championship held at the
Hard Rock Live Nov 30-Dec 2nd, and it was the final event of the
2007 season. At this time I would personally like to thank
tour founder John DiToro and the Seminole Tribe for their continued
support of professional pool.

What a way to close out the
season...the event started with a bang on Thursday night with a
reception that included an open bar and buffet featuring the likes
of brisket and pork ribs from ""Renegade." OMG,
if you have not feasted at this place you simply have never
feasted!!! Next was a charity pro-am hosted by baseball legend
Andre "The Hawk" Dawson, followed by a silent auction that
raised around $9,000 for the Boys & Girls club of Broward County.

A total of 88
players comprised of 83 men and 5 women showed up from all over the
US, Germany, Holland, Venezuela, Finland, Korea, and more to vie for
their piece of this $25,000 added event with a total purse of
$57.875! Included in that amount was $2,000-, $1,500-, and
$1,000- that went to Helena Thorndfeldt, Monica Webb, and Debbie
Schjodt respectively for their high finishes of the females in the
tournament. Congratulations to tournament champion Rodney
Morris and runner up Corey Deuel, followed by Finland's Mika Immonen,
Louis Ulrich, and Germany's Thorsten Hohmann.
