Cue up and take a shop tour @ Ted Harris Custom Cues

Entrance to the Clifton Estate

Check out the atmosphere leading up to and surrounding the shop where I will build your custom cue.  The estate was first built in 1804.  It was originally over 1000 acres, and is currently settled at 112 acres.  The driveway is about an eighth of a mile long from the road, and is the last driveway on Revells Neck Road.

There are three homes on the property.  This one is our house, and to the right the red brick areas are winter gardens.  There are many interesting things on the property here.  There is a rose garden that is absolutely beautiful, a 1950's bomb shelter, wash house, smokehouse, boathouse, horse barn, tractor barn, slaughterhouse, tennis courts and a pool.  All on the mouth of the Monoken River and the Chesapeake Bay!

View of house from waterfront

My wife Kathy, a menagerie of loving animals and I spend much of our free time away from making your custom cue barbecuing on  the back porch, seen in this picture.  This is the view of the rear of the house.  The shop is on the left, and is connected to the house.  The porch provides a waterfront view over a huge pasture, and provides some of the most spectacular sunsets anywhere.
This is where your cue is made.  The shop's inside dimensions are 31' X 21".  The garage door is 12' X 8', and I use it for bringing the road lathe in and out.  Originally, this was a three car garage, with three doors.  It was a shell only with cedar siding only.  Everything from the floor, electric, windows, drywall, on up to the ceiling and the exterior vinyl siding had to be done...and it was work!!!

Yep, thats the shop!

The shop is kept at approximately 70-75  degrees and 45% humidity year round.  This atmospheric control is what I consider to be excellent conditions for your cue to be brought from raw materials to functional art.  The upstairs houses the office/lounge.  Check out the sunset below!
